It’s only human wanting to own what we love. Music, however, is immaterial and impossible to hold: we can buy a CD or a musical score but these objects give us either a transient or a very dry experience.
Creating an object that somehow embodies a fragment of music is my device to capture it in a different form. My models are based on written scores, reproducing the sequence of notes in their relative heights and duration as to visualize the flow of music: colors and shapes relate to the narrative of the original piece.
The result doesn’t try to compete with the aural experience but, crossing form the visual to the auditory sense it’s a powerful reminder of its structure and the pleasure the gives us.
