I use needlework as a way to draw delicate motives on the surfaces of my models. Stitching is also a clean, safe and reversible way to join individual components. Designing the stitching patterns is a long process but the results are very rewarding: the tensile nature of yarns and the extreme accuracy of laser cutting let me achieve with needle and thread a kind of architectural rendering style very appropriate to geometric compositions. It’s fun to mix modern technology and traditional craft to work with a seemingly impossible technique.
